Privacy Policy
Your privacy is important to us. Sirat is designed to help you on your Islamic journey while collecting only the information necessary to provide core app functionality.
Information We Collect
If you choose to create an account, Sirat may collect and securely store:
- Email address (for authentication)
- User account identifier
- Prayer progress
- Quran reading progress
- Goals, streaks, achievements, and points
- App preferences and settings
This information is stored securely using Firebase Authentication and Cloud Firestore so your progress can be synchronized across your devices.
Guest Mode
Sirat offers a Guest Mode that does not require creating an account. When using Guest Mode, your progress is stored locally on your device and is not synced unless you later choose to create an account.
Location
Sirat may request access to your device's location solely to calculate accurate prayer times. Your precise location is not used for tracking or advertising purposes.
Quran Recitation and Audio
Sirat includes an optional Quran recitation feature that listens to you recite so it can offer helpful, personalized feedback on your reading. When you use this feature:
- Your microphone is only accessed while you are actively using the recitation feature.
- Your audio is processed so Sirat can respond to your recitation and give you guidance as you learn.
- Audio is handled securely and is never sold, shared for advertising, or linked to your identity for marketing purposes.
To keep improving the accuracy and quality of recitation feedback for everyone, recitation audio may also be used to help train and refine this feature. This is entirely optional. You can turn off the Training option at any time in Settings, and your future recitations will no longer be used for this purpose.
Turning off Training does not affect your experience. Sirat still uses your recitation in the moment to give you feedback so you can keep learning and improving.
Purchases
If you choose to make an optional in-app purchase or donation, payment processing is handled securely by Apple through the App Store. Sirat does not receive or store your payment information.
Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.
Analytics and Tracking
Sirat does not use third-party advertising, behavioral tracking, or analytics services to profile users.
Data Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your information and use secure services provided by Firebase to store account-related data.
